LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wading River Fire District will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 5:45 P.M. at the Wading River Fire District’s Headquarters Building located at 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York to discuss the contents of the proposed 2027 Budget, and Whereas, the Board of Fire Commissioners is required to adopt a proposed budget at least 21 days before the budget hearing so that it is available for public inspection prior to the budget hearing.
Now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wading River Fire District has adopted the proposed Fire District Budget for 2027. A copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerks of the Towns of Riverhead and Brookhaven and at the Office of the Wading River Fire District Secretary at 1503 North Country Rd, Wading River, New York where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours. In addition, a copy of the proposed budget is posted on the Fire District’s website, and copies of the proposed budget will be available at the hearing.
A public meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wading River Fire District will be held at the Wading River Fire District’s Headquarters Building located at 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York immediately following the Budget Hearing for the purpose of adopting the 2027 Budget, as well as other District business. This notice is being publicized and posted in accordance with the provisions of Public Officers Law and the Town Law of the State of New York by order of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wading River Fire District.
