Motor Vehicle Accident - Overturn

On Wednesday April 13, 2022 at 9:10 PM Wading River Fire Department was activated by Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services (SCFRES) for a motor vehicle accident, overturn with entrapment on North Wading River Road.
Under the command of 2nd Assistant Chief M Donnelly (6-3-32), 21 members with 8 pieces of apparatus responded to the scene. Heavy Rescue (6-3-10) provided light at the scene and members used chain saws to provide access to the vehicle which had come to a stop in the woods, upside down, between trees and in a mass of thorn bushes, provided cribbing to stabilize the vehicle, stood by with extrication equipment and utilized its thermal imaging camera (TIC) to search the interior of the vehicle and surrounding area for any additional patients. One patient was transported to the hospital by unit 6-3-17. All units were back in service by 10:15 PM.
