The Wading River Fire Department is continuously accepting applications for membership.

STEP 2: Give careful consideration to the commitment required. If you are able to meet these requirements and would like to begin the membership process, then complete the Membership Application Form.
Prerequisites
You must be 18 years of age and live within the Wading River Fire District to apply for membership.
If you are 17, you may submit this application three months prior to your 18th birthday.
Full-time college students living away at school are not eligible but may apply three months prior to graduation if you will return to live within the Wading River Fire District after school.
Benefits
Retirement benefits - The Wading River Fire Department participates in the NY State LOSAP program. The program is based on your years of service and the capacity of your service. Qualifying members are eligible to receive monthly benefit checks starting at age 60.
Regular medical exams (physicals) - paid for by the department.
Free training, classes and certification
Free use of firefighting gear and equipment.
