On Tuesday December 3, 2019 at approximately 1550hrs the Department responded to Middle Country Rd. (Rt.25) Calverton for a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident with a Vehicle Fire.
Upon arrival, Firefighters quickly extinguished a fully involved van fire without incident.
A vehicle occupant was treated and transported by Wading River Fire Dept. Ambulance to a local hospital.
At the completion of the assignment the scene was turned over to the Riverhead Police Dept. and NYS DOT.
All units were back in service at 1655hrs.
