On Monday May 29, 2017 The Wading River Fire Department held its annual Memorial Day service to

honor all the servicemen and women who gave their lives to ensure our freedom. We also remember all

Wading River Fire Department Members who have passed. As there names are read each name is

marked with a white carnation and one ring of a Fire Bell. The flower is placed by a family or Department member.

When the Names have all been read and the flowers placed, the Fire Maltese is complete.

It is then placed, with reverence, in front of the Department's Memorial Stone at

Wading River Fire Department Headquarters.
