Heavy Rescue MVA

On Wednesday August 7, 2019 at approximately 1026hrs the Department responded to Freshpond Ave. Calverton for a Motor Vehicle Accident with an occupant trapped within.
Upon arrival, Fire Rescue Personnel rapidly extricated the lone occupant from the heavily damaged vehicle, utilizing hydraulic extrication tools.
The occupant was treated and transported to a local hospital by Wading River Fire Dept. Ambulance.
At the completion of the incident the scene was turned over to PSEG and the Riverhead Police Dept.
All units were back in service at 1218hrs.
