On Saturday May 25, 2019 at approximately 0637hrs the Department responded to the Long Island Sound for a Water Rescue with a report of 3 subjects in the water after their boat overturned.
Upon arrival, Fire Boat 18B arrived on scene quickly and removed the victims from the water. The victims were transported to shore where they were treated by Department Medical Providers and transported to a local hospital.
The overturned boat was brought back to shore and turned over to the Riverhead Police Dept.
All units were back in service at 0845hrs.
