Working Structure Fire

On Friday February 2, 2018 at approximately 2256hrs the Department responded to Overlook Drive, Wading River for an active fire in a residence.
Upon arrival, firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and extinguished the flames within minutes. While firefighters were searching the residence a dog was located and safely removed from the structure without incident.
The Wading River Fire Dept. was assisted by several neighboring fire departments during the operation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Riverhead Fire Marshals Office and Suffolk County Police Dept. Arson Squad.
At the completion of the operation, no injures were reported and units were back in service at 0035hrs.
