| On Saturday, December 13th, the Wading River Fire Department escorted Santa Clause all around town. Although known for visiting everyone in one night, Santa took the entire day to ensure he could wish every resident, especially the children, a "Merry Christmas". With Department Chief Mark Donnelly, and Assistant Chiefs Denise Gluck and Tom Whelan guiding the way, the members of the Wading River Fire Department assisted Santa spreading holiday cheer, ensuring that all knew St Nicholas was coming to their street and gave out candy canes to children and treats for the four-legged residents. In return, many residents provided non-perishable food for the Department's annual "Stuff-a-Bus" food drive. Santa was so happy with his visit, he promised the chiefs that when he returns on Christmas Eve, he'd have even more gifts for all! |
