WRFD OPEN HOUSE, SUNDAY, 10/22, 12 TO 4 PM -- Join the volunteers of the Wading River Fire Department on Sunday, October 22, from noon to 4 p.m. at Wading River Fire Headquarters, 1503 North Country Road, for the Department’s Open House. All are welcome to tour the firehouse and to explore the vehicles, tools and equipment that are used to respond to emergencies within the community. Firefighters will work along side emergency medical personnel for a vehicle extrication demonstration. There will be fire truck rides for the kids, a raffle for fire prevention items, and much more. The Department is always looking for new members to help meet the emergency response needs of the community. Membership applications will be available for those who are interested and Department personnel will be available to answer any questions.
