On Saturday May 15, 2021 at approximately 2326, the Wading River Fire Department was activated for a mutual aid to the Riverhead Fire Department for a tanker to respond to Sky Materials in Calverton for a mulch fire. While actively assisting at this alarm, the department was dispatched for a medical emergency in the Ramblewood Trailer Park. Prior to the completion of this alarm, the department was activated for a motor vehicle accident in front of Fink’s Farm in Route 25. On arrival, members found a single vehicle that struck and damaged a telephone pole. No injuries were reported. While still on scene of the MVA, the department was activated for a mutual aid to Manorville Fire Department for an engine to respond to a working structure fire. All four alarms were handled and units were back in service at 0337.
