On Tuesday October 6, 2020 at approximately 2351hrs the Department responded to Sunset Blvd. Wading River for a reported Residential Structure Fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters located an active fire in a carport adjacent to the structure and quickly extinguished same. Firefighters checked the structure for any fire extension with negative results.
At the completion of the assignment no injures were reported and the scene was turned over to the Riverhead Town Fire Marshals Office for further investigation.
All units were back in service at 0045hrs.
