On Monday June 15, 2020 at approximately 1240hrs the Department responded to Overhill Rd., Wading River for an active vehicle fire in the driveway of a private residence, threatening the structure.
Upon arrival, firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and checked the residence for any fire extension with the assistance of the Rocky Point Fire Dept.
At the completion of the assignment no injures were reported and the scene was turned over to the Riverhead Town Fire Marshals Office for further investigation.
All units were back in service at 1348hrs.
