On Tuesday May 12, 2020 at approximately 0958hrs the Department responded to Defense Hill Rd. Shoreham after a dump truck came in contact with a high voltage power line.
Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished a small fire in the wheel well of the truck after it was removed from the power line prior to fire department arrival.
At the completion of the assignment no injures were reported and the scene was turned over to PSEG and the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals Office.
All units were back in service at 1127hrs.
