LEGAL NOTICE FOR FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION
ANNUAL ELECTION OF WADING RIVER FIRE DISTRICT
DECEMBER 13, 2022

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of the WADING RIVER FIRE DISTRICT in the Towns of Brookhaven and Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York, that the Annual Election will be held in the said Fire District, at the Fire Headquarters, 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York 11792, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. (EST) for the purpose of the election of one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years, commencing January 1, 2023 and expiring on December 31, 2027.

            NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the designating petitions for the Office of Commissioner must be filed in the Office of the Secretary of the Fire District at 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of Election, namely November 23, 2022.  All candidates for office may obtain petitions from the Fire District Secretary at 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.  All persons who have registered with the Suffolk County Board of Elections on or before November 21, 2022, and who shall have resided in said District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding the election of Commissioner are eligible to vote for Commissioner.
