Working Fire

On Friday December 28, 2018 at approximately 1613hrs the Department Responded to the Sound Shore Club (Summer Community) off North Wading River Rd., Wading River for a reported Structure Fire.
Upon arrival, a residence was fully involved in fire threatening near by structures. Firefighters quickly deployed numerous hoselines and attacked the fire, preventing only minor fire extension into a neighboring structure.
Numerous neighboring Fire Departments responded to the scene to assist during the extensive operation.
At the completion of the incident no injures were reported and the scene was turned over to the Riverhead Fire Marshal for further investigation.
All units were back in service at 1927hrs.

Great job! I saw the flames out of my window and called 911 you were all there within just a few mins! Thank you for such a fast response

THANK YOU Wading River Fire Dept and all who assisted in this disaster! And those who called in the fire. This could have spread and many families would now be mourning their loss of a beautiful bungalow they cherished! Again, thank you to all the brave men and women serving this community!
